Emplazada en el corazón de la abadía de Grimbergen, la nueva fábrica de cerveza combina las mejores tradiciones cerveceras documentadas en los libros ancestrales de la biblioteca de la abadía con técnicas nuevas e innovadoras para elaborar lotes únicos de ediciones limitadas de cervezas premium excepcionales.
Para celebrarlo, Grimbergen ha lanzado al mercado tres nuevas cervezas: Grimbergen Magnum Opus Brut Beer, Grimbergen Ignis Quadruple y Grimbergen Astrum Pale Ale.
Marking the new chapter in a beautiful story of continuous rebirth and renewal, the new abbey brewery allows the friars of Grimbergen to continue the legacy of previous generations of monks.
Father Karel Stautemas, vicar general of the abbey and brewmaster, explained: “The new microbrewery is a place to revive past traditions. Like our symbol, the phoenix, we always find the strength to rise again and, furthermore, we always do so incorporating some fresh approach. “We want to combine our experience of nearly nine centuries with innovation to create new beers that are unique and the most delicious.”
